This site chronicles our adventures aboard S/V Seas the Day beginning with a long list of “tasks” which led us to the final goal of owning a boat.  Early on the list was a trip to the 2007 boat shows.  We arrived at the Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show with the plan of looking at several different power cats.  As we considered the cost of fuel, we gravitated toward the sailboat docks.   We loved the comfort, size, and fuel efficiency of the Lagoon 420 Hybrid.  After a sea trial, we were sold!  Hull 71 sailed, with a delivery crew, from France to Ft. Lauderdale and we accepted delivery in early August, 2008.  On August 21 we moved aboard our Lagoon 420 and on September 1  we christened her Seas the Day.  See photos of christening ceremony.

Four Month Reflection, 12/21/08

One Year Reflection, 8/21/09

Current Location:

Charleston, SC

The color of the background of this weather sticker should be similar to the sky conditions where we are currently located.

A friend from high school sent us a phenomenal slideshow. The photos are incredible and the message accompanying them is one we all need to hear.  The writer is George Carlin and it’s titled “Philosophy for Old Age.” One quote near the end states, “Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.”  Another way to say this might be “Seas the Day.”  Click here to download the Powerpoint presentation.  Be sure you have your sound turned on.
