Seas the Day left France on June 7, 2008 arrived in Ft. Lauderdale on July 30.   A delivery crew was aboard and we were able to track the route online.  We were advised that it would take several weeks to get her ready for us after she was at the Catamaran Company docks, pictured above, so we waited until August 19 to leave Minnesota.  We spent the days and weeks leading up to this, selling most of our household goods, selling one of our cars, and having an estate sale.  Then, we moved everything we didn’t need to an unattached garage on the property and packed what we thought we’d need living aboard into boxes.  We got a U-Haul trailer and filled it with these boxes.  Then, we spent a few days getting the house cleaned and empty, preparing for a possible renter.  The night before we left, we were up all night, but we were determined and excited to get to Ft.
