The forecast for last night was 50 kt winds around 1 am, but that time passed with only about 20 kt winds and no squalls. Shortly after that one of the cruisers came on the channel used here for hailing other cruisers, channel 68. Mosey informed everyone listening that at about 4:30 am the wind would start changing direction and we’d be getting squalls. That did happen but again there were no 30, 40 or 50 kt winds. We did get a nice rain which we like as it washes the salt off the deck. Many boats moved to protected anchorages in the past few days. Guess it was for nothing. This is a nice anchorage but a long dinghy ride to the town. Above is part of our protection. We are surrounded by hills like this one.
There certainly is a lot to do here, although we are more interested in hiking in the hills, snorkeling in the water, and relaxing. In addition, there is always boat work to do, and of course Daisy work. Above, Mark trims her nails. Recently he gave her a much needed haircut.
We have moved the “coffee table” into the salon and the large table into the cockpit, but this morning Mark was having his breakfast while Daisy waited patiently in case he would give her a crust of his toast. Her eyes never left his plate.
